Reflections on the new cd
"Combat Circus" is in the pipeline. What can I say? It 's a great feeling to record their second album, after the feedback, both public and critics, we have had with "all acquitted."
"All Acquaintance", our first official album, (which we can not still be met) had all the characteristics, strengths and weaknesses of the first album: raw, angry, direct, sometimes a little 'dirty, but very sincere and spontaneous. A time when the Beagle Boys, the Ska-p, the Clash, in short, the combat-ska-punk were the examples to follow to try to make our sound that we loved and had always tried to play. It was the period Berlusconi's government, Bush and the wars that have made dangerous the whole world situation. And then the G8, the process for the dead of petrochemical ........ the years of "acquitted" in short ......
For those who have attended our concerts will be easy to understand that the way chosen to "reinvigorate" this record is that of patchanka usually attached to the ska-punk we've always played: Groups like Mano Negra, and many folk bands have enriched the Our plays in recent years and of course what is felt in the writing of songs, always powerful, but more "party animals" of the above.
The past two years we have introduced many realities and many environments, Italian or otherwise, that have allowed us to grow and led to the drafting of the new disc.
I always thought the best album born from the naturalness and sponataneità composition, without futile compositions in the studio with ideas "in progress", so that forced a hard bait, only to "respect Roadmaps "...... an album is out, of course, the songs must emerge spontaneously, all of which should be adjusted when deemed appropriate to do the project ............ some of Manu Chao and Radio Bemba, with all that this implies (by Aretuska folkeggianti in groups), we were greatly intrigued, but the starting point for us back in the studio, had to be what it was for "All Acquaintance" with differences and similarities in musical part: the spontaneity and sincerity of the songs. This
we wanted to bring about "Combat Circus", a new CD that reflects what we experienced and our states of mind with respect to all these new experiences.
And here we go again ....... the new hard-Patchanka COMBAT-SKA-PUNK-REGGAE-FOLLK or whatever you want to call will be released in October, when returning from our 6th trip to Germany that will see us happily occupied 6 to 14 October.
we start with TORTUGA , an invective against the lack of interest and against the praise of "moderation" of the "new" Italy, more interested in large scale "to street people," forget that the greatness values \u200b\u200band ideals that THE EMPTY CHAIR attravrso wants to remember the life of Latin American hero Che Guevara.
Unfortunately, the neglect and indifference do resurface, officially or not, the new right-wing xenophobic: THE PITCH CACIURDO invites people to be alert and not to ever sleep .... And while
heroes armed only with solidarity as Gino Strada and non-governmental humanitarian organizations, it THE CARAVAN , plug the holes west of idiocy, there is still space for the evil deeds of our governments, increasingly distant from the people dreamer, and often, though obviously failed in their choices, so arrogantly against it ironic (TESTAMENT A Fool).
HELLO BEAUTIFUL, now the anthem for countless generations, tells us not to confuse with liberators never invaders, because the story is there to prove it, and from the peripheries of the world FACTORY OF DISSENT raises his voice.
closes the album with the ballad lost diary inspired by the sad story of the disappeared.
